Original Yoga Sequence: Twists

Feeling hot? Did you know that twisting and making space in the side body in Yoga practice is believed to help relieve the build up of heat in the body?

This Yoga sequence I designed targets the midsection of the body, commonly called the CORE, with poses that include twists primarily using the oblique muscles.


The oblique muscles are important muscles to strengthen for
maintaining overall health and physical fitness because they assist with the body’s rotation of the spine and abdominal contractions. Developing a stronger core can help protect the back muscles and the spine when bending, twisting or lifting.
